i didnt even understood why this thread was opened until in received an email that said inactive members would be deleted as of the end of this week.
i have to say, as founder and still admin (though hardly active) i have to say i disapprove of this method.
because even though posting is good, registering might be enuff for some people to show their interest in re-volt.
anyways this way or another, ONE week for members with zero posts so far to make their first is a bit harsh seeing how i myself will be around a pc for like three weeks within 8 weeks at the end of september.
so yeah, i wouldnt delete inactive members.

It is so I can remove the spammers and time wasters. One IP address has registered 6 times with different name and not posted once with any of them, yes I have now banned that IP, but I wish to remove others with a similar agenda.
I would not delete anyone who has made a post before but not for a year or so, just the ones who have never made a post, ever! (currently 53 listed members)
I do not intend to go down the route of RRR and insist on a measured amount of posting per limited time interval.
Just one post once is all I ask.
I understand your point of the time scale and will take note of any private messages stating to remain an active member.
I will move the clean up date to 1st October, OK ?

I see your point. one week? That is really quick to judge.
Some people may have registered and forgotten or have gotten sidetracked with other business.
One week really isn't long at all.
Maybe one month would be a little bit gentler?
And also, has this forum ever been spammed?

you dont have to ask me, you know that.
you know i gave the active moderating into your trustworthy hands because i felt it was the time for me to acknowledge the lack of time i have to put into this forum.
i was just making a remark on what i felt was a bit harsh.
keep up the good work MM.

I think this is a good thing to do,you dont want 500.000 people just being registered here doing nothing.
But...you dont want the known members(APM,Dave-o-rama,etc.)being deleted.
Most known members are waking up.
