Greetings, my problem is with hosting in Windows XP using the Windows 98 Compatibility Mode. I am hosting by means of DSL and have successfully done so through Hamachi and through opening ports. Using this mode fixes the lap timer bug as it does for many others but if I host with this compatibility mode enabled the game crashes as I start the server. If I disable the compatbility mode I am able to host and everyone can play just fine except now we have the lap timer bug. We have played with it but it's a little weird having to keep track of everyone using the distance meter and determing from that who wins. I am posting to ask if anyone has a way to fix the lap timer bug and still be able to host in Windows XP. Many thanks.
