It occured to me as I was assigning power to the wheels with turning set to FALSE (since, you know, generally the back wheels don't turn) that the car would be RWD on the selection screen. But its not. It says FWD. I'm wondering if this is a bug in the game, or is there some weird inversion in the code that's directing power assigned to the rear tyres to the front tyres?

It's not a bug - just a mistake! As you've noticed, the description is reversed in parameters.txt.

True, you have to tell the game whether or not the car is front wheel drive, real wheel drive, or all wheel drive. It doesn't care about the actual parameters in the Frontend.

But I thought that the XWD is "calucated in game anyways".

When it says that it means that it doesn't matter what you tell it to display, it will figure it out based on whatever wheels are powered.

It'll be obviously only for English.txt's of all versions, but I'll make sure it works right... lol.
