I'm not posting these at RVZ (don't think these might get approved) so I'm giving them as much publicity as possible.



R6 Turbo - Class & drivetrain fix

Haven't you ever asked yourself why is R6 a glow-powered FWD car if there's an electric motor between those fat-tire rear wheels?
Well, it was time for somebody to adress that.

Parameter changes:
.Class set to Electric.
.Switch from FWD to RWD.
.Rear wheel EngineRatio set to 12. Front had 13.
.Rear S/K Friction set from 1.65/1.50 to 1.95/1.80
.TopSpeed set from 40 to 36.
.F/R CoM centered.
.SteerRate set from 2.5 to 3.0.
.SteerRatio decreased by half.
.Custom camera.

Top speed clocked at 36mph, although not the same decimals as the original R6 Turbo.
Acceleration has improved slightly, thanks to the reduction in wheelspin.

Body mesh changes:
.The mid-rear part of the body bottom was loose so I connected it to the body.
.Mapping alignment.
.Quadrangulation of faces.
.Vertex shading fixes, done mostly by copying the right side of the body.
.Application of NoEnv in the body bottom and the holes of the hood/frunk scoop.

The skins have been cleaned up a bit aswell. This is based off the canned R6 that comes with a repaintable roof.
Pest Control - Handling & rating fix

Parameter changes:

ADVANCED
Basically, a stable, AI friendly version of the original params, which prove the car uncompetitive for the Semi-Pro class.
.CoM F/R postion centered.
.SteerRatio reduced by half.
.Rear wheel S/K Friction set from 1.7/1.5 to 1.9/1.7.
.Custom camera.

SEMI-PRO
Based off the former set.
.EngineRatio set from 18000 to 25000
.Rear wheel S/K Friction set to to 2.0/1.8.
.Top speed set to 41.

SEMI-PRO W/LOWER RIDE
.Wheel Y position set from -1 to -3.
.CoM Y position set from 2.0 to -2.5.
.Rear wheel S/K Friction set to to 2.1/1.9.
.Front camera raised from -28.5 to -37.5

Body mesh changes:
.Rotated/reoriented edges.
.Nose dropped by 0.3 units.
.Doublesided rear spoiler.
.Mapped the body bottom to a tiny square at the bottom-left of the texture.

Looking good Cat! @ work so I can't test them at the moment but these are great!

EDIT: Pest Control is muuuuuch better now, although IMO the nose looked better where it was before. The canned texture for R6 has a bunch of pure black pixels in the 2 on the roof of the car, those need looked at. I don't think the body really needed to be changed either, but that's just me. Great work otherwise!

Thanks for the feedback, the pureblacks have been fixed now. I think Pest Control's original nose makes the car look bent, as if it crashed against an embankment. As for R6, this should explain why I had to:

Pest Control's new nose makes it look like a Bentley of sorts, it just sticks out after seeing the original Pest Control for so long.

I've been staring at that picture for 5 minutes and I don't get what I'm supposed to be seeing. Help please, lol

The vertex shading differed from each side.
