Hi all,
I'm using 1.2 and I notice while racing that the camera often zooms in to the backside of the car. I really like to have a stable camera far behind the car, is there a fix for that? I never noticed this in the orginal revolt.
Any idea?
Thx!

You can use the new camera feature for 1.2 and offset it to be behind the car, that's what I do. But it's not entirely pretty.

Ok.
But about the automatic zooming? Is there something to do about that?
Maybe to disable it somewhere?

Maybe your car's CoM is too low.

I'm using just my old standard RCBandit..
Do you guys don't have / see the problem?

I get that too from time to time and it's very annoying. It usually goes back to normal after a short while or when I crash, but sometimes it stays for an entire race and on some tracks that makes it extremely difficult to race.

Ok, so it is confirmed..
Anyone know if this can be disabled? Or explain the purpose of it?
Thanks!

Center of Mass. It's a parameters.txt line.

I believe it reacts to track collision. Purpose was probably to hide track *artifacts*, so you couldn't see through walls and stuff with normal camera. Simply, camera can't go through track collision, so game changes camera or slightly rotates it.
