Hello all!
Running: Revolt 1.2
How to make a long [question] story short?
I really like Revolt, for a long time.. so just to relax, i go in to track editor and make a new track and when I'm happy about it I going play it for a while.
Now.. recently I noticed that the last few years there is an update and new things I didnt notices before.
What I really like to do and understand is how to make custom adjustments to a 'self made' track. Things like; custom made tunnels, different bridges, narrow corners ect ect.
There are a lot of programs, and I put them all in my 'revoltStuff' folder.
So I have the zmodeler1.07b, and the ase2w.exe and Instance Ripper.exe
If I open up my usertrack folder and open the .w file I can extract the .w to .prm with instance ripper. So now I have a .prm file. Now can I convert the .prm file to 3ds with zmodeler. Now I open up Blender or Sketchup and voila, I see my track!
I do a simple adjustment, I pull up a traingle in the middle of the road and I save it as and .ASE file. I want the .ASE file to be a .w file again, so I can load it in Revolt.
I drag the newTrack.ase over the ase2w.exe and get serveral errors.
-PANIC: Assumtion 'Smoothing groups are 1..32 wrong' (export from Sketchup]
or
- Weird Bitmap (if I export from Blender)
My question is, how to make life simple and tell me all the things I did totaly wrong.
What bothers me the most that I needed 4 different programs..
w. -> .prm -> 3ds -- adjust --> .ase -> .w?
Thanks for reading!
