I mentioned this on another topic. There's should exist a program/executable+bat that can shade PRMs via normals/lightning.

What about RVshade.exe as found in the [url=http://revolt_f1.webs.com/RV%20Tools/rvminis5.zip]
RV Minis 5[/url] ali and Gabor Varga tool pack.
rvshade.exe Modifies an instance's shading
Is that not the sort of thing you are looking for ?

i'm refferred to make the rv cars have vertex shading again after zmodeler export

It would be handy if the prm files could be read with a program, that shows the kind of data in there, is understandable and editable.
I tried opening up a prm file with notepad, and while it did come up with some data, which was in some kind of pattern, it wasn't understandable, if you could find the info about the vertex shading, you could change the values to what they were before or whatever you want.
I also wonder if it is possible to edit/view vertex shading using blender?

If I were you, I would just export your mesh as 3ds and import it into Gmax. The UI is almost like 3ds max and vertex shading is very easily done. This way you can use ase2prm to export it and tune your mesh with SG properties, now you're at it. =)
