I'm wondering if Acclaim ever released any downloadable cars or tracks aside from the stock cars and tracks included with the game?

Well, there is a few repaints of some of the cars, but I am unsure whether Acclaim made them or not. For example the Gamespot repaint of NY54 (or was it Aquasonic?).

Thanks for all your good replies.
It is just interesting that in the demos at the closing screens, it is advertised that you can download new cars, tracks and challenges from the Internet. I guess they were just referring to community made content.

that's probably what they meant... and as far as user-made stuff goes, we've got plenty of it
