This is a concept system that's designed to rate a vehicle's handling by points. You look at each section and determine which entry applies best to the car you're reviewing. Tally up the total points to get your car's rating between 0 and 15.
STRAIGHTS (2 points max)
When making minor directional adjustments on a fast straight, this vehicle:
Is slippery and hard to aim. (0 points)
Seems locked into one direction and isn't eager to change. (1 point)
Easily changes direction to go where you want it to. (2 points)
CONTROL (4 points max)
When entering a challenging corner, such as the downhill 180 at Indagodan, this vehicle:
Flies wildly out of control every time. (0 points)
Is likely to lose control if the turn is not entered carefully. (1 point)
Stubbornly refuses to turn. (1 point)
Is squirrelly, and could slip out of control if not handled carefully. (2 points)
Tends to slide, but is still easy to control. (3 points)
Goes where its supposed to MOST of the time, but occasionally slides out of control. (3 points)
Goes exactly where its supposed to every time. (4 points)
UNDERSTEER (3 points max)
This car tends to understeer:
All the time. Requires braking at almost every turn just to make it through. (0 points)
Frequently, and tight corners require a lot of braking. (1 point)
Occasionally, but only when going REALLY fast. (2 points)
Only when you forget to press the turn button. (3 points)
OVERSTEER (3 points max)
This car oversteers:
Pretty much whenever it tries to turn. (0 points)
If anything but extremely light on the brakes. (1 point)
Only under hard braking. (2 points)
Never. (3 points)
BRAKING/SLIDING (3 points max)
When applying the brakes while turning at speed, this vehicle:
Slows down like its supposed to. (1 point)
Causes the vehicle to slide gently into the turn. (2 points)
Allows a controllable slide through a good portion of the turn. (3 points)
Breaks into a slide that is difficult to control. (1 point)
Spins wildly out of control. (0 points)
